This is a picture standing in the living room looking down the hallway. I am so glad we decided to make this hallway 8 ft. wide. It really is an extention of the living room and when we decide on what to put along the left wall, it will tie the two spaces together nicely. We are thinking of a long church pew style bench or a large buffet which will add more storage. Whichever we run across first I'm sure. As for now, a chair and a steamer trunk will do.

Our bathroom is complete. The vanity is in, and the tub/shower combo is beautiful. The glass we had installed in place of a shower curtain is working great. The shower head comes out of the ceiling instead of the wall so the spray goes down instead of backward. This piece of glass is all that is needed to keep the water off the floor. It feels very open and spacious. The tub is big and roomy and is wonderful to soak in. We moved in last Saturday but since my internet is still at the old house, I am a little slow in getting pictures posted. More to come soon.

Here is a picture of the bathroom vanity we will be purchasing tomorrow. It matches well with the armoir I hijacked from my mother that will serve as the linen closet. This vanity is custom made by a man named Jim at Canton Antiques. He makes bathroom vanities from beautiful pieces of furniture and I encourage everyone to go to his website and check out his stuff. http://cantonantiques.com/

The tile is installed and all the appliances are in and working. The bathroom is almost complete. We just haven't decided on a vanity yet. Once the vanity is in, the inside of the house will be complete. We still need to install the water heater in the barn and hook up the plumbing to the septic, but I can start moving in while that is being done.

We picked our floor and bathroom wall tile today. We are going with a neutral beige on the floors and walls in the bathroom, but we are adding some 1 inch glass and stone accent tiles in the bathroom. The glass tiles will go very well with the paint I have picked out.
The kitchen is going well also. My sweet husband put in the faucet last night and is now running the plumbing for the dishwasher. I have put in most of the shelf and drawer liner and cleaned all the dust from the cabinets. The microwave/vent hood is all set and as soon as the tile is installed we can move the fridge and range in.
As for moving day, we are still a ways off but my estimate of October is still the plan. It will be much cooler to move by then as well.

We get a little closer everyday. This holiday weekend we managed to get the tub set, the hardware on the cabinets, and some light fixtures installed. After a slow start on the granite, it should be installed next week. We have had a couple of tile bids come in this weekend and as soon as the granite is in, we will have the tile installed. Once the tile is in, all the dirty work should be complete on the inside and I can clean. Then we can touch up the walls and start moving some stuff in. We won't be ready to live there yet, but we can start moving things we don't use every day.
